Kick back and continue to enjoy Soul’d Sundays at Wahooz on the promenade.

This ongoing musical extravaganza at one of the coolest venues on Durban’s Golden Mile allows local muso’s to celebrate their own brand of soul, R&B, jazz, Afro-soul, Pop Soul whilst paying homage to musical greats of the century. The likes of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Ed Sheeran, the Temptations and Percy Sledge created a unique Afro American vibe that still influences music around the world.

Chill out as you sway to the distinctive live rhythms of Soul’d Sundays while enjoying funky and unique cocktails as well as a delicious menu.

July brings out further local jazz greats featuring the very best of Durban’s local talent.

Kicking off on July 9th and again on July 30th, Bubbles, who started her career at the age of 19 on the local talent TV show The X Factor South Africa where she made it to the Top 5 quarter finals will take centre stage. She has performed at various Jazz Festivals such as the Mhlathuzi Jazz Festival in Richards Bay and Maze at the Microsoft Theatre in LA, California.

On July 16th, Hailing from Nigeria but now settled in Durban, Solomon Willy is best known as a performing artist, guitarist, composer and music producer. He formed his band in 2009 and his music career took flight when he was selected in a talent search audition to perform at the 2010 Fifa World Cup Fan Festival Stages in Durban. He also received an award from the Department of Arts and Culture Kwazulu-Natal and won a talent search competition at the Pavilion Shopping Centre. He has performed throughout Nigeria, South Africa, and Australia with the key change Music Project.

On July 23rd catch the ever popular Afro Divas family vocal trio, Yolanda, Khutala and Ntombi Cenge.
