The last guest we allow into the restaurant will be 15 minutes prior to the closing time.
This is to allow our guests to browse through the menu and place their orders before the restaurant officially closes.

 

For lunch seating’s; all diners need to vacate the restaurant by no later than 16:30 to allow for the turnaround setup of our dinner service.
Please be considerate in this regard.

Restaurant Terms & Conditions

Viewing of the Shark Tank is STRICTLY for diners only.
Should you wish to view the venue, please call prior to arriving so we can have our reservations team accompany you & assist you with your queries.

 

Guests with food allergies are to inform the manager/waiter prior to ordering so that our chef can prepare your meal according to your requirements.
Please note that certain dishes cannot be altered due to pre-service preparation.

 

During lunch, children must be supervised at all times & guests are kindly requested to remove unruly children from the dining room.
Children are to remain seated at all times as running around disrupts other diners.

 

Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted for dinner seating except for Mondays & National school holidays.
(this does not include private school holidays).

 

If you wish to bring your own cake, a charge of R150 per cake will be applied to the total bill.

 

Due to the high demand of our tank & upper-level railing tables, we will allow a 30 minute grace period for late arrivals & thereafter will release the table & your preferred table will be relocated.
Should you be running later than 30 minutes, please contact the restaurant on (031) 328 8037 to avoid your table being released.

 

Due to limited space & availability of tank side & upper-level railing tables, we cannot always accommodate table’s right next to the tank.
Tank Tables are reserved 2 – 3 weeks in advance.
If these tables become available they will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

 

Dinner Dress Code: Neat & conventional yet relatively informal in style.
Appropriate attire will be accepted, no revealing outfits will be tolerated.

 

Sharing of main course meals is not permitted unless otherwise stated.

 

Corkage & BYO (bring your own) spirits is NOT permitted.

 

A discretionary service fee of 10% will be added to the final food and beverage bill for groups of 8 persons and more.
It is NOT compulsory to pay this service fee.

 

Cargo Hold is happy to consider dividing the bill if it is discussed at the beginning of the service.
Please liaise with our staff on arrival.

All reservations are confirmed on the day of the booking.
If we are unable to reach you on the day of the booking, please call the restaurant on the day of your booking to confirm or the booking will be released.

 

By making a reservation, you personally agree to be fully responsible for the reservation, including costs associated with the security/deposit and consumption of food and drink (if the bill is not paid for in full by any other guest(s) in your party).
We do not allow for tabs or accounts.
All food & beverages MUST be settled on departure on the day of your visit.

 

We regret having a strict reservations policy; however cancellations without sufficient notice and no-shows represent a great inconvenience to our diners and a considerable cost to our business.

Covid-19 Precautionary Measures

Masks:
Please note that entry into the restaurant will not be permitted if you do not have or are not wearing a standard face mask.
You will be allowed to remove your mask once you have been seated at your table.
Please ensure that you put your mask back on when leaving your table or exiting the restaurant to comply with the uShaka Marine World’s “no mask, no entry” policy.

 

Sanitizer:
Upon entering the restaurant you will be sanitized with an alcohol-based sanitizer.
Should any guest refuse to be sanitized, they will not be allowed into the restaurant.
All guests may request from our staff to be sanitized at any point during their time with us.
Diners that exit the restaurant for whatever reason and decide to return will be re-sanitized upon returning (ie: smokers, going to the bank, shop etc)
Once a table becomes available, we ask that all guests be patient so that we may sanitize the table and chairs prior to seating any patrons.
This is for your own safety as well as others.

 

Temperature:
All guests will also have their temperature checked.
A person with a temperature of 37.4 or higher will not be allowed into the restaurant.

 

Wash Hygiene:
We urge all diners to please thoroughly wash their hands once they have used the restrooms.
This is for your own safety as well as the safety of others.

 

Social Distancing:
All tables will be spaced out according to the social distancing measures.
The maximum permitted number of guests seated at a table will be 10.
Any tables that are larger than 10 people will be split into a second table and also separated via the social distancing measures.

 

Restaurant Capacity:
We are only legally permitted to accommodate 50 guests at a time as per Government lockdown regulations.
Should this change, we will inform our guests accordingly.

 

We ask that all guests be respectful and adhere to these regulations to ensure a safe dining environment for themselves & others.
